The Coffee Mate® is set to 90 ml when you use the warming function. Want to make 125 ml of coffee? Fill the water to the brim. When the Coffee Mate® stops brewing coffee at 90 ml, hold down the start button for a few seconds, and the remaining water will be pumped through the Coffee Mate®.
Tip: If you wish to brew a large 125ml cup of coffee, preferably use hot water and hold the start button for a few seconds. The coffee will be brewed immediately. That way you don't have to wait for the water to heat up and the battery won't run down quickly.
The number of cups of coffee you can brew on a fully charged battery depends on several factors. How full do you fill the water tank and how cold is the water. The below brewing number of cups of coffee is indicative and depends on the temperature of water used.
Espresso (60 ml) - 6-8 cups
Double espresso (80 ml) - 4-6 cups
Lungo (110 ml) - 2-4 cups
XL coffee (125 ml) - 1-2 heads
TIP: The warmer the water the more cups of coffee you can make with a fully charged battery. Use room-temperature (20°C) water, if necessary, or bring a thermo-bottle of hot water and you will make about 250 cups of coffee with hot water.
If you want to make coffee for several people add hot water. Hold the start button for a few seconds and you'll have a fresh cup of coffee within 35 seconds. And with fully charged battery, you will make over 100 cups of coffee on a fully charged battery.
For use with Nespresso compatible cups, the standard lungo is 110 ml, similar to a normal cup size in the Netherlands. Would you prefer an espresso or a double espresso? Fill the water reservoir to 40 ml or 80 ml.
Warm-up time depends on several factors. How full you fill the water tank and how cold is the water you add. The warm-up times below are indicative and based on using water at room temperature 20 °C

With a fully charged battery you can make over 250 cups of coffee! In short, the hotter the water, the less time you have to wait for a fresh cup of coffee!
When the battery is completely empty, it takes about 3 hours to fully charge the battery. All four lights illuminate when the battery is full.
No unfortunately, not all cups are suitable. The coffee cup must be made of aluminum. The brands that have been tested and found suitable by us and our customers: L'OR, Douwe Egberts, most Nespresso cups (not all), LavAzza, El Criollo, Gran Maestro, Starbucks, Nescafé, Bellarom (Lidle), g'woon (Vomar), Perla and De Koffiejongens. Of course, it is possible to try other brands. If the machine has trouble perforating the cup and the water gets stuck in the adapter, the cup is not suitable for the Coffee Mate.
No, unfortunately. Coffee Mate® needs to be charged first. Charging can be done on 220V or on 12V in the car/boat with the included USB cable.
With the included USB cable, it is possible to charge the Coffee Mate® with a power bank. Use a power bank with a minimum mAh of 20,000.
Should you wish to brew coffee immediately with the addition of hot water, by holding down the start button for a few seconds you can bypass the heating process. The coffee will be brewed immediately. This also saves battery power!
Important: While cleaning the machine, no water should get into the battery. Clean the outside with a slightly damp cloth and not under the tap!
The water tank, cup and adapters can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand.
Descale the Coffee Mate +/- every other month. Add a 1/2 capful of anti-lime with hot water in the water tank. Then hold down the start button for a few seconds and pump the machine clean. Add clean water 2-3 times and repeat.
Grasp the machine with the "Coffee Mate" logo facing you. Free your two thumbs and push out the battery with both thumbs on the sides of the battery.
