El Salvador is one of Central America's leading coffee producers, with a long tradition of growing high-quality coffee trees thanks to its exceptional climatic and soil conditions. This "Villa España" is a specialty coffee grown at an altitude of 1,400 meters in the Apaneca - Ilamatepec region, known for its virtually no precipitation and high average temperatures.
Villa España began production on its sandy loam soils in 1980, resulting in small but high-quality harvests, which gradually found their way to the most select coffee markets. This farm, with 50 hectares of production, has coffee trees averaging 20 years old, which are grown manually and selectively in the first months of the year.
