How many cups of coffee can I brew on a full battery?
The number of cups of coffee you can brew on a full battery depends on several factors, such as the filling of the water tank and the temperature of the water. Below is an indication:
- Espresso (60 ml): 6-8 cups
- Double espresso (80 ml): 4-6 cups
- Addition hot water: +/- 250 cups
TIP: The warmer the water, the more cups of coffee you can make with a full battery. For example, use water at room temperature (20 °C) or carry a thermos with hot water.
I would like to make coffee for several people.
Add hot water if you want to make coffee for several people. Hold the start button for a few seconds and within 35 seconds you have a fresh cup of coffee. With a full battery, you can make over 250 cups of coffee.
What is the warm-up time with cold water?
The warm-up time varies depending on the filling of the water tank and the temperature of the added water. Here are indicative warm-up times based on water at room temperature (20 °C):
- Espresso (60 ml): 3-4 minutes
- Double espresso (80 ml): 4-5 minutes
- Addition of hot water: 35 seconds
Can the Coffee Mate® be used while charging?
No, unfortunately. The Coffee Mate® needs to be charged first. This can be done with 220V or 12V in the car/boat with the included USB cable.
Is it possible to charge the Coffee Mate® with a power bank?
Yes, with the included USB cable you can charge the Coffee Mate® with a powerbank. Use a power bank with a minimum capacity of 20,000 mAh.
Can I use the Coffee Mate® to make coffee immediately without warming up?
Yes, if you want to make instant coffee with added hot water, hold down the start button for a few seconds to skip the heating process. This also saves battery!
How do I clean the Koffiemaatje®?
Prevent water from entering the battery while cleaning. Clean the outside with a slightly damp cloth, not under the faucet! The cup and adapters can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand. Descale the Coffee Mate® approximately every month by adding a capful of anti-lime with hot water to the water reservoir. Then hold down the start button for a few seconds and rinse the machine clean. Repeat with clean water 2-3 times.
